Our Lord went into the desert for 40 days to show us the importance of retreats. For centuries Christians have used the opportunity to withdraw away from the world for a few days to focus on what really matters: eternity. These retreats can be doctrinal or spiritual, but they create a spiritual storehouse that can launch us back into the world with more zeal, courage, and peace.
