Catholics who do not know their faith will be prey to heretics who know theirs. There is a richness of Catholic theology, history, and liturgy that resides in books, but can also be beneficial when delivered in an oral format via a talk or panel. Most importantly, conferences are par excellence an opportunity to meet and make new Catholic friends and interact with clergy you might not ordinarily get to meet.
