What could be better than Paris in April? Paris in April during Easter Week with fellow Catholics and a priest venerating relics of saints, exploring religious and historical sites, and immersing yourself in local French culture.
Daily Mass, sermonettes, spiritual conferences, and religious commentary take a simple European vacation to a pilgrimage akin to Catholic ancestors of yore.
Imagine yourself walking down the same path St. Therese of the Child Jesus may have walked to Mass each Sunday with her father and sisters in Lisieux, praying the rosary at the foot of the grotto where St. Bernadette learned Our Lady is the Immaculate Conception, standing in the spot where St. Remi baptized Clovis I, King of France.
After a day of visiting Notre Dame cathedral, enjoying a stroll along the River Seine, stopping off for a croissant at a local patisserie, you can come home to apèro and then a home-cooked French meal. You get to explore local cuisine, fine wine, and delicious cheeses from various regions of France all while making new fiends with local French Catholics. There’s plenty of time to explore this ancient city of the Eldest Daughter of the Chuch as well as check off bucket list items and tourist sites. This trip is definitely a must!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to IHS Events and the Roman Catholic Institute for organizing the April 2025 trip to France. Taking in so much Catholic history in one trip – and to the eldest daughter of the church was fantastic. The trip greatly deepened my understanding and appreciation of France’s role in Catholic history. The preparatory sessions preceding the trip were very helpful in planning personal time and being comfortable with the local customs.
I have traveled overseas previously and have had to plan everything about a trip, and it was a relief not to have to concern myself with all the planning details. Our Paris homebase was wonderfully suited for our exploring and enjoying all the Catholic and secular sites of Paris. The excursions to Lisieux, Reims, and Lourdes were great compliments to Paris. I would not have thought to include those sites in a first trip to France. Lots of Saints and history.
Allowing group time and personal time in our daily schedule allowed us to visit places we would not have thought of with the group, and check off the activities we personally desired as must see. Thanks is due to the IMBC Paris Chapel for use of the chapel for daily mass with Father Bayer. There were a few welcome surprises along the way. An added bonus included several get togethers with local like-minded traditional French Catholics for very lively conversations, and traditional French cuisine. Priceless!
I consider myself a good planner when it comes to taking a trip, and I always try to maximize the opportunity it presents. This trip satisfied all my expectations and then some. Many Thanks!
